The cottage is located just south of Morvah in the West Penwith district of Cornwall. (Shown as 'Tor Noon' - OS Grid Ref: SW402344) It is situated in both an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and immediately adjacent to a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Skylarks, ravens, buzzards, foxes and rabbits live on Woongumpus Common while gorse and mombretia punctuate the blaze of purple heather around Chûn Quoit and the iron age hill fort of Chûn Castle, nearest neighbours to Solomon's Island.

The cottage faces the setting sun out to sea and on stormy days wild white horses race in towards Pendeen Lighthouse. Portheras is the nearest beach and the 10-15 minute walk down from the farmyard will take you along a track alive with red admiral butterflies and blackberries.

The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away, like the nearest street lamp - which means that on a clear night you can lie in the garden and see about 100 billion stars.
